Thank you - I had noticed the growth under the beak but had assume it to be "old age".

I believe the swan died on the grass shown in photo therefore the 360 strip of the neck must have been done by ? afterwards

There are Mink and Otters in our area

It is all very sad for us as he had been fed by hand by me for 6 years - excepted our dogs etc
