In Response To: Trumpeter swans on ice (Garver)

Yesterday our lake was open and a rare pair of swans were swimming and feeding, now its next morning and lake is froze over and this pair is laying on ice, they are alive as they put their heads up now and then. Whats wrong, just resting, cant take off the ice to slippery or something else?
