In Response To: Re: What swans do (The Regal Swan)

Hi Tyree:

Good question! Thanks for writing.

When swans are not sleeping, they are constantly moving, eating, bathing and preening (cleaning and straightening their feathers). Swans also swim or float in the water, sometimes while asleep. The same can be said while the swans are on the bank. They will lie in the sun and take naps. The birds will also eat grasses and other vegetation both in the water and on land.

Swans are very busy birds as they are constantly in motion, patrolling their habitat and chasing other swans and predators that may harm them. The Regal Swan
