In our local cemetery, there is a very large pond and two female swans have been there for years. We had asked the fellows that maintain the grounds why we have not seen any young ones ever! They said because they are both female. We live in the town of Pelham ON, 7 km. from Niagara Falls ON. We go an visit quite often and have noticed that people will feed the swans 'bird seed' with corn in it. Is this type of food OK to feed them? If not, should a sign be posted 'not to feed the swans'?
