1. My friend had a pair of swans and the female died about 10 years ago. The male has never found new partner. Is this because of his commitment to new swan or because none have happened by? If we got a 2nd swan is there any chance he'd bond with it? He's probably 30 years old.

2. Does the swan being more on bank/in grass than in water mean anything? I haven't been around swans much in past and notice this one likes to sit in grass a lot. Wondered if that's because he's old or normal?
