In Response To: neglected cygnet (Patty)

What should I do abut a week old cygnet (Polish mute) who is being neglected by it's father and mother and picked on by it's sibling? I've been called at least 4 times in the last few days to come rescue it from one cove or another when it's been left behind by it's parents. It seems smaller and less active than it's nest mate. When I return it, it's not rejected, it's just neglected. Even if I could find someone to care for it, would it ever be accepted on this 550 acre lake by the other swans. If not, what should I do? Letting "nature take it's course" is unacceptable to me.
