You are very welcome. You need to check with either your local/state fish & wildlife commission or dept. of agriculture under licenses and permits. Permits should be categorized under wildlife, waterfowl or exotic species. If the state does not have any of the listings, you may have to call the state office directly to see if swans are a licensed species.

Also, on another note, should the existing swan meet its demise, then there would be no reason not to get a young pair of same gendered swans. But, again, only if something happens to the existing swan. You do not want to displace the existing swan from the only home its known for replacement swans. We hope this information is of benefit.
