Hi Michael:

You are very welcome and thank you for the kind words. We love being able to provide this service to swan keepers, veterinarians and other interested parties. However, this website could not be possible if the ESL Board and Stanley Park Swan moderator did not keep up the great work and maintain the site for us. So, we certainly want to thank Sarah for all of her hard work and efforts to make this site available.

Again, there are no guarantees that your swan will take another swan as a pal and you will still need an introduction pen to make the introduction run smoothly. But, a younger female may be the answer if you still want to try another swan and at least you won't have to deal with the issues of cygnets. Yes, they will mate, nest and produce eggs, but they will not be viable.

To avoid the possibility of having any problems with the introduction of another swan, you might try a female duck or goose and see if this might allow the swan to have a pal and not have the conflict that another swan may cause. The Regal Swan
