Hi again, thanks for the respone. Yes, it was a dog attack--there were many witnesses who talk about it down at the pier. Hard to believe that dog owners don't have enough sense to leash their dog in a public area. Thankfully I didn't witness it because I would have been heartbroken and would have taken down license plate numbers to ensure a fine

It sounds like they will likely return to the area as they have nested there for yrs. Hopefully we will be able to do better by the family next year.
