We lost our beautiful 6 year old female swan to a coyote this spring. We would like to get our 6 year old male a new mate. I was told by one seller that it is okay to get a younger female for him. What would be the best age of a female? I would like your advice so getting a new female will be successful.

We have a pen so that the new female can get acclimated to her surroundings and our male can get used to having her here.
