We have installed the floating islands, now becoming popular under the name "islandscapes" for several of our clients who have swans. One place is a shopping center and while the swans havent nested on it they do retreat to it as a resting place to avoid people when they need a break. Their food is also placed on it as well.

None of the places we have seen swans have deterred geese at all. The geese do keep a radius around the swans but they learn to co exist quite well. Most people who arent tolerant of the geese quickly become intolerant of the swans as well.

I am attaching a picture of a pair of our swans on the floating islandscapes (they now even sell these at walmart) and of another site we monitor where you can see the geese arent worried about the swans presence at all.
