Ask the Swan Specialist

In Response To: Lone swan in a farmer's field (it can fly) (Denise)

I have been observing a young swan that seems to have taken up residence in a local farmers field. The field is well used by the owner with tractors and hay bailers etc. Will this swan move on?. I am worried if it doesn't move on will it be in danger. Is it normal for a swan to on its own like this? I reported it to the rspca as it didn't seem to move for a couple of days however when they attended the swan flew off. I watch it every day and it looks very much at home. I would be grateful for your advice.
