A couple of days ago the male and female were together, the next thing the female was by herself outside my flat for 3 hours (something she hasnt done since i moved in 3 months ago) the male never returned and she left by herself. 2 days later and i went out on my bike around the canal and would only see the female.

Would the male just leave? or could he have got into trouble with another animal somehow? i know theyve have been matting recently but have yet to locate where their nest is.

I'm really worried about him as I have become rather attached to my pets since moving in.
