Ask the Swan Specialist

In Response To: Pinioned Swan (Marian)

We have had a pair of mute swans for over ten years. We were told they were both pinioned. They have hatched a clutch of cygnets every year which have been relocated. This fall the male was seen flying. Is it possible that a pinioned swan can learn to compensate for the pinioned wing?
