Ask the Swan Specialist

In Response To: Swanless Lake (Ros)

Ever since I moved to Northampton (UK) in 2000, there have been a pair of swans living on our local lake. If a pair should leave for whatever reason, a new pair would always replace them within a week or so.

However we have had no swans living on the lake for quite a number of months now and are wondering why this might be. Other wildfowl (e.g. mallards, coots, moorhens, Canada geese) are still living on the lake.
