Hi, I live in rural Lincolnshire in England and am lucky enough to have a lone swan that lives on the stream in my back garden. I was introduced to him by the neighbours as 'Jack' and I understand he has lived here for many years.

I was quite surprised to go out today and find him constructing a very large nest in the garden! I was wondering if this is common behaviour for a male swan, or whether I might have to change his name to Jaqueline?!
