We have a pair of swans, 3 yrs old, on a small lake within a golf course. Our yard backs up to the water. They have built their nest in our flower bed near the water and near the house. On EasterSunday she laid an egg. On Tuesday, the egg had been pushed out of the nest, and on Wednesday, she laid another egg. Saturday. Another egg was laid. Monday, another egg was laid in the next, and another egg was found on the golf course across the lake. Now, it is Wednesday, another egg laid in the nest, and one in the yard on the other side of the house. What is going on? Should the new egg in the yard be placed in the nest, and what about the first egg, which is still lying outside the nest.?
This is the first year for them to nest.
