A number of your replies have advised to feed lettuce as a treat. With winter approaching in Canada, there will be little natural food available. I have 3 swans about 8 months old. How much lettuce should I be feeding on a daily basis. They are also fed 50% each poultry layer pellets and cracked corn. I have installed a de-icer in the pond & hope it will continue to keep a suitable area of the pond open. Do you have any other suggestions on their welfare during the winter on the pond.
