In Response To: Re: Black swans and ducks (The Regal Swan)

Hi Darren:

As long as the water is freshwater, then the Black Swans and ducks will be right at home. Since Black Swans are indigenous to Australia, these swans may be on the migratory path and have stopped over in the bay until they continue on toward their wintering grounds (or in your case) nesting areas (as this is the time for nesting for Black Swans in Australia). Swans will use creeks, rivers, lakes, ponds or any body of water to look for appropriate nesting, feeding or other resource site. If the water is saltwater, the swans will not stay for any extended amount of time as they cannot filter the saltwater. The Regal Swan
