In Response To: Deformed wings, too much protein (Suzann)

I have a 4 month old Black Swan cygnet that was born and raised in an enclosure without a real pond, but had kiddie pools. We had to supplement all food and put in greens for her. We now have a pond as I wrote to you before. The problem is her wings stick out at the sides of her. She looks like an airplane with wings out. She is getting her white flight feathers and the wings seem to work when she flaps them. I was told it was caused by too much protein. Will they get better now that she is on a normal diet of swan algae and grass? We still supplement them.
