Hi

I raised a pair of Royal Mute Swans from Cygnet stage. They built a nest and she had 2 eggs. During the night a predator killed 1 of the swans about 4 years ago. I now have a swan and presume it's a Male since it hasn't laid eggs. I took my male swan to a friends pond thinking he might breed with her 2 female swans. The 3 of them got along well for the first day.

On the second day her 2 started attacking my swan. I brought him home.

We are now wondering if I have a male and if my girlfriend has 2 females. Can you guess the sex of our swans from my pictures? Her two swans are about 5 years old. Each year they build 2 nests and never hatch any Cygnets. We think they are not fertile eggs. They eventually abandoned the nest.
