In Response To: 2 swans keep nesting near water-line (Laura)

We have 2 swans that live in our lagoon/canal. They have been building nests and the nests keep getting wiped out by high tides, nor'easter, full moon, etc. Same for last season, they never had babies. It's so sad to watch them work so hard only to find out that there is no place high enough to keep it and the eggs above the water-line. Is there anything that can be done? Raise the land in that area where they've tried to build before?
