Hi Tiffany:

How old are the cygnets because this is going to be a major concern about letting them bathe, how often, and the need for warmth and dryness.

The three major needs at this time are warmth, shelter and food. Keep the cygnets dry and warm until you can get back to us regarding their age. This goes for their need for shelter against the elements and predators. Bring the cygnets indoors so that predators cannot get to the young birds.

As far as food, provide them with a 50/50 mixture of cracked corn and poultry layer pellets. Provide them with small pieces (very pieces) of cut lettuce for greenery.

The food must be submerged under water, meaning, place the layer pellets and corn in a small dish, like a small lipped pie pan (1 inch lip or less). Add water to the top of the lip and make sure that the food is kept extremely wet with an abundance of water or the cygnets could choke. Swans need water to eat that is why they are fed near or in the water. The Regal Swan
