Troubles at the Pond

I live in a gated community with a nice pond with a water feature. Two ducks have lived at the pond for a number of years (one white & one mallard). I don't knew the gender of either. Recently we tried to introduce some new younger adult white ducks, but the two already there would have noting to do with it. As a matter of fact both of them attempted to kill or run off their new neighbors. What can we do to successfully increase the population of the pond? I was specifically wondering if maybe a large male swan might serve to control the behavior of the original two? Is it reasonable to solve the problem by capturing the two and moving them to another pond about 1/2 a mile away?
