In Response To: Re: Brought black swan to our shed after lake froze (The Regal Swan)

Hi Elizabeth:

Be careful with the small tub unless you are staying with her as if the tub is too high, she can hurt her legs and feet. If you allow her to swim in a tub, she may also go crazy and react in a way that you do not want her to react, i.e., thinking that she needs to get out and falls or tries to fly from the tub. You are better off spraying her with a misting bottle (similar to what a beautician uses to wet your hair before they cut your hair). Then, as the time to release gets near, you can submerge her by holding her (may need another person to help) in a sink under water (head stays out of course), or holding her and using a water hose (warm water) to completely soak her. We hope this helps. The Regal Swan
