You probably need to find a home for the male. Two reasons for this suggestion:

1. The male is too old for the young females which will take about 1 year to 1 1/2 year to be ready for mating. If the male tries to mate with the young females, they can seriously be hurt or even killed during the mating process.

2. What will you do with the cygnets produced by the male and female swans? Does your state require a permit to possess the swans? If so, you will possibly need a permit for a breeding pair. The two female swans will mate and go through the nesting process, even producing eggs, just not fertile. With a male and female swan, they may produce between 1-13 cygnets per year. Each year, they will chase the cygnets from the pond to start a new family. What will you do with the juvenile swans at that point? Being considered feral or exotic birds, the cygnets will need to be pinioned (rendered permanently unable to fly) between 1-3 weeks of age, which means you have to capture the cygnets, take them to vet for the pinioning process and render veterinary medical checks on a yearly basis. Unless you are willing to deal with a very high maintenance bird and their offspring, we would strongly suggest keeping the two females, raising them and allowing them to be your pets so that you do not have to worry about future swans.
