In Response To: Mute baby swan born this week won't stay with mother (Diane)

There are six babies. They were all fine until today. The one gay one would not stay with the mother. Do you know why? We finally caught it and put it in the house because we have foxes and cats around the pond plus it started to get dark. I am sure it wouldn't last the night without protection of the parents. What can I feed it? We would like to put him back with the others tomorrow if we can. What do you think? He seems to be fine, I can't find any injuries.
