Laying eggs on nesting platform.

I'm thrilled to say that as of this morning Mama has laid an egg in the nest on the floating platform in our pond. I was out there yesterday and noticed quite a bit of the straw had blown out with the high winds we've been having lately. I was going to add more straw to the nest this afternoon, but now that I've noticed an egg in the nest, should I leave things alone? I've been providing all the nesting materials to the platform. There is obviously still a nest and straw, but not as much when they first made their nest. I'd hate to disturb them at this point and am not quite sure they'd let me close to the nest anyhow. Thanks for any help.
