The number one question would be why it left its pond in the first place. Did something scare it or chase it into the other area?

Regardless, it is going to get killed or the other swan will get killed by crossing the road to either get to another pond or each other. Our suggestion would be to get your rescue group to get the swan and place it back into the pond from which it came and back to its mate.

We would also suggest that a barrier be placed immediately between the pond and the road (small 4 foot fence, etc.) so that the swans cannot cross the road. This is going to be the only safe and permanent resolution to this issue. The Regal Swan
