Hi Navenka. Niether parent will accept it and will try to kill it. Also being the runt they will abandon it if it cannot keep up which will also make it an easy target for a predator. You will need to hand raise it which will present a new set of problems in that it will possibly imprint on you. However this is the least of the problems for now. You must keep it warm and feed it poultry layer mash with fine crushed cracked cirn. It must have the foid fully submerged in water. Ensure that the cygnet remains on a non slup surface such as straw or towels. Do not kerp it on towels that bundle or he can get caught and suffocate. Do not use newspaper as this is too slippery. He will need to be placed in water for 15 minutes at a time several times a day to bathe feed while on water and learn to preen. You must not leave him any longer in the water because he will drown from lack of feathers. He can also get cold which is why he needs to be thoroughly dried. The best thing that can be done for him is to give him to a waterfowl rescue facility or swan breeder that has cygnets if you do not have the time or expertise to raise him. It is a non stop job until he is about twelve weeks of age when he can be placed in a small pen with zero entrance water feature to grow on his own. Until that time he needs a mother for
protection and even then he will need to stay in captivity for the rest of his life because he has not been taught how to be a swan or

protect himself from predators. This may seem terrible at this time but he will be just fine. We have had many rescued cygnets that live a good life in captivity. The Regal Swan
