If the parents kicked him out prior to 6 months, then there may have been something wrong with him. If an illness was the cause, the parents did not want the disease to spread to the rest of the family-flock.

If an illness or injury, and the cygnet could not keep up with the rest of the family, it could lead a predator to the other swans. Again, nature and swan parents will not allow this to happen if at possible.

If the chasing occurred around 6-10 months of age, this is normal as junior is being told to get lost and find his own territory and mate. At this age, the juveniles are seem as rivals for habitat by the parents.

All of this is normal, and the two new swans are probabky juveniles also looking for habitats and mates. Nature will work this out. The Regal Swan
