The swan may have had a little tiff with the other swan and was chased from the pond. If it is drinking water and going back into the pond, it should be okay. Just keep monitoring it. If it looks like it is in distress, (i.e., keeps getting and staying out of the water, not drinking, not able to hold its head erect), then you need to get the bird to a veterinarian.
