Thanks so much for such a quick reply! I can arrange the platform and attached "island" so that is not close to the dock. My lake is home to geese and ducks, as well as the swans. Which of these may attempt to claim the platform for nesting first? If it isn't the swan, how do I politely keep the other waterfowl off in hopes that the swan will want to use it? When in the spring should I have it all spruced up and available?
