In Response To: Re: Swans more likely to attack males or females? (The Regal Swan)

Hi Stephanie

Like most male species of any kind, they will usually go after another male. However, should a female swan get too close to the nest or cygnets, a male will also chase her and may inadvertently seriously hurt her if he makes contact with his beak or wings. But, normally the males are left to protect the nest, family and fight for nesting, habitat and mating rights. The Regal Swan
