In Response To: swan family near my office (Susan)

Hi

We have a pair of swans living on the lake near where I work in Newport South Wales UK and they have had a beautiful family of six babies this year. The babies are now nearly as big as their parents and three of them have now disappeared. Where do they go on their first flight away from the nest? will they return? How do they find a new place to settle?
Thanks, sorry for all the questions but we have been watching them since they were hatched and we have got a real keen interest in their behaviour.
