No, fish food is not an adequate food source for the swans. Swans are not dabbling birds as much as they are grazers and divers. Therefore, the food should be submerged in the water. Use a 50% mixture of cracked corn and 50% poultry layer pellets. The cracked corn acts a filler as well as providing critical Vitamin A. Without this nutrient, swans can be affected neurologically. The poultry layer pellets provide necessary vitamins, minerals and micronutrients with the correct amount of protein.
