In Response To: Re: Can swans experience stress? (The Regal Swan)

Hi Lois

Yes, swans can show stress. If they are indicating pain, they may recoil or squirm, they may even make some vocalizations. However, two of the most prevalent signs are a rise in temperature or gaping (mouth open panting and possibly drooling from the mouth). This can be a sign of heat stress or general stress.
