Fascinating. Since we just moved there, and it's a brand new community, and the pond is man-made, built by the Builder, Ryan Homes, maybe last year, we just can't tell the history of this Swan. It seems to float with other water birds though, so it seems happy, and seems to have plenty of food. No threatening wildlife around here really, maybe a bob cat, but no serious threat. I guess it will be a permanent resident here for it's natural life. There are many other water birds, ducks, storks, herons, White pelicans, etc, you name it. So he's in good company. Thanks for helping me understand this stranger of a bird to me.
