Hello Keith,

The cygnet's father - the one that we call Marlow on this site - died last spring of e-coli and heart worms; see: http://www.stanley-park-swans.com/Precious.shtml#Marlow

I am not sure if it is the same one you are calling Shoey; you might be referring to Precious, the big "boss" of the Lagoon. He picks after clothes. A lot. His territory is near the marsh where he lives with Marlow's "widow" Marlika.

The one who died during the spring - Marlow - used to stay between Precious' territory (the marsh) and Nature House; he used to nest between the causeway and Nature House while Precious nests in the marsh.

Both Marlow and Precious have been pinioned many years ago. Tweety was the only one to be pinioned this year.
