Met a friend today by the mesh-side at the holding pond at the Lagoon, and we spent at least an hour there with Precious - that swan is such a character....you can't help loving him. He had eaten a fair bit of tender green grass I brought him, but stayed there, nibbling at the mesh, wanting to play. Each time my friend and I would turn away to talk or look at other things, there'd be a HUGE, long sno-o-o-o-o-o-o-rt, and the head stretched as high as he could get it, pushing against the mesh... "Hey! I'm still here!" More play and being told how wonderful he is, kept him there the better part of an hour.
