I would like to alert visitors to the Lost Lagoon area about an elderly woman who claims to be with the Vancouver Parks Board and says she 'takes care of' the swans. The woman is in her 60's..approx 5'5 with mousy dark hair in a bun. She packs a camera and has a VPB tag around her neck. She verbally accosted a woman who was near the water edge close to the birds. She was not feeding the birds but the elderly woman accused her of that and told her she was too close to the birds. She went on the swear at her and almost lunged at her. The woman is obviously unstable and has been reported to the VPB. They have no idea who she is. She was taking photos of the woman near the water edge and claimed she would post her photos on the VPB website....so if you come in contact with this woman...the VPB would like to know who she is...and beware her verbal abuse!
