Construction at the Lagoon

Poor swans - they were all "at sixes and sevens" today -- huge racket of construction work all around the southwest side, down by the stone bridge and noise everywhere, so they were scattered across the lagoon.

Precious and Marlika stayed near their end - came over to say 'hello'; they're looking so tattered right now, molting right and left!

Genghis Swan was in heaven, chasing and chasing all the youngsters - and the youngsters are getting wise to him. They stay close together - he charges after them and they move around him so suddenly there's nobody in front of him to go after. By the time he figures out which way to turn, they've moved again. Round and round and round he goes, frayed wings up...they're going to fall off if he keeps this up.

A mother Mallard has a brand new batch of ducklings - they keep coming in batches.

Mother Goose and her four goslings have disappeared again - am not sure where they're sheltering, but they probably have a spot where it's a bit quieter.
