Hello,
I know this site is about the swans but I have a question about the baby birds in general this year. Compared to previous years we've been noticing the baby ducks and geese appearing and then disappearing again much faster than usual. It seems as if virtually every group has disappeared within a day or two and none have survived to adolescence. We were wondering--since all the baby swans also died last year--if this has something to do with the water being polluted? Or are the predators of the baby birds just particularly hungry this year?
