Was VERY happy to see Tristan, Isolde and Brother enjoying themselves together in the water this morning.

It was cool and spitting light rain; Marlika had the cygnet under her wing, on the nest. Another observer said she had taken the little one in the mini-pond beside the nest last night - am hoping I might be able to get a photo yet - will just have to time it right!

FEATURE OF THE DAY
Beautiful Precious in the holding pond, alongside a mother duck and her ducklings, calm as could be. Meanwhile, as Marlika sat on the nest, another mallard and her babies had "parked" right on the side of the nest with her. All was peaceful.

Happy to see Mama Swan (had missed her yesterday) this morning, preening in her favourite spot. She came over for a morning chat, and seems fine. Papa Swan over near the beach area "scavenging" but NOT chasing the youngsters! People weren't feeding them in that area and this definitely makes for better relations among the swans - you can see a very real difference right away.
