Happy to discover Tristan, Isolde, Brother and Boy tucked up, snoozing close together on the daisy hill. They seem to have some sort of understanding, and get along much better when just left alone. All 4 swans are looking well.

Precious had the cygnet in the shallow bit of water right near the nest, while Marlika was still sitting her egg/eggs. Then, she got up off the nest and took the cygnet further into the wetlands (maybe for a snack and swim, but hidden from our eyes). It was now time for Precious to come out for a greeting, an arm-wrestle, and then a short stint in the middle of the road to make sure all passers-by were behaving. I would love to have a photo op with the cygnet, but am so happy the parents seem intent on keeping him/her safe and to themselves for this while. It'll have a much better chance of survival, I'm sure.

Papa Swan was preening in his usual spot further down the lagoon, but I didn't see Mama; however, this is sometimes the case as in other times, I've worried and gone 'round and 'round the lagoon, and then she pops up all of a sudden.
