Lost Lagoon’s “Junior” in a friendly moment with the little Ambleside cygnet, initially adopted by Precious and his family the day of their arrival. We’re guessing it’s the female of the group of four – Junior hasn’t lost any time, has he - he’s definitely Precious’ son!

Junior’s hospitality doesn’t extend quite as warmly to the other three, however, and if you’re around the lagoon when they’ve just discovered a new treasure-trove of aquatic growth in the water, you’re bound to see Junior reaching to grab the nearest part of an unsuspecting cygnet who’s diving for delicacies.

“Peeep…PeeeEEEEEEP!” protests the little swan as Junior removes a few feathers in the process. The chase is on! But these cygnets are smart – once Junior has followed one to a distant point, the cygnet heads right back to the source of the goodies, to snatch at least a few more bites before Junior realizes what’s up - by then he’s usually found his own patch of delights.
