Hi Paula
The only thing that can be done is to break the ice around them or capture them and remove them from the ice. If they are frozen to the ice, you will need warm/hot water to throw under them. If they stay on the ice, they will die from starvation, dehydration, attack from predators or the winter elements. The major issue is to be safe and not fall through the ice yourself. The Regal Swan
