Thank you so much for the information. I appreciate you responding so kindly and quickly
We are treating the swan for pneumonia like symptoms. She is on a twice daily antibiotic. We did do a lead test and she has tested negative for lead poisoning. I have been tube feeding her for 6 days (370-480 ccs daily) with exact bird starter formula and nutrical (which has vitamin B12 in it)-today I took her to the vet for radiographs and discovered she had lost another 6 ounces of weight.
Is there anything I can provide to entice her appetite in addition to the tube feedings? I have offered non-medicated protein crumbles, spinach, lettuce, strawberries, boiled egg, corn, alfalfa, and mealworms. She doesn't have an interest in any of the offerings so far.
I am crossing my fingers we can spur her appetite soon. Thank you again so much for your help.
