I live near a pond that is usually flocked with Canadian geese on a daily basis. I live on the Eastern Shore of MD and we have not had the greatest winter... very weird thing I saw this morning as I passed the pond - a very large # of white swans over taking the pond. You could not even see the water anymore, they were everywhere I would say over a hundred, but actually more like a couple hundred of them.. I wanted to take a picture but my phone was dead. Where did all these swans come from overnight? I have seen like 2 or 3 in this pond of my past 10 years living here but never this many. I am just curious as is this a sign of something to come? Or do they just live here and I didnt know they had such a large population? Thank you.
