I purchased a pair of mute swans, both males, to help keep the geese off my farm pond. I have been keeping them in a small cage (10-14') with half in pond and half on land. I have had the swans for 8 days now and they have yet to eat. They have the same pellet feed they were fed by the breeder. I have also tried putting fresh lettuce on the water and they haven't eaten that either. The swans are 1 year old and appeared to be in excellent health when I got them. There are no dogs or coyotes bothering them and the only human contact is when I check on them twice a day. Steve
